Who We Are
We produced our first cylinder as RM Cylinders just over 10 years ago. and the years have passed so quickly in a whirlwind of activity; it seems like only yesterday since we proudly shipped the first cylinder to our customer.
Our initial product offering of open vented copper cylinders has quickly been complemented by the readily accepted addition of the Aquastel stainless steel open vented cylinder, bringing traditional storage systems up to date with 21st century materials.
In the Unvented storage sector, our popular Stelflow range of cylinders has grown to include storage up to 1000 litres providing an enhanced compatibility in water storage not only with gas, oil, and electricity but also with the growing market of solar & other renewables. Specified demand of the Homeflow, an Unvented storage cylinder specifically designed to meet the exacting needs of the new build sector has gratifyingly exceeded our forcasts. our latest emphasis has been on our service capabilities, which has resulted in large stocks been developed and held by ourselves for next day delivery.
RM Solar opens its door to the merchants for the first time offering a comprehensive selection of Solar Thermal systems for the domestic and commercial market. The demand is unprecedented as RM Solar achieves a prime time TV advertising spot in conjunction with B&Q.
RM Cylinders introduces its first copper cylinder production line and starts producing an unlimited number of copper cylinder variants as well as manufacturing special 1 off next day copper units. The uptake is tremendous and staffing levels are nearly doubled overnight to keep up with the demand.
The Stelflow unvented cylinder is released to the market with much applause, the sleek modern stylings and impressive technical specification launch it into the mainstream catalogues of many merchants within a matter of months of release. The unit brings together many features from high end products into a much more affordable package for the very first time.
In response to the influx of cheaply produced cylinders RM launch their new competitively priced range of products known today as the Prostel. The Prostel is launched using many of the technological features from the Stelflow unit but brings the unit inline with the competing market to give users a fantastic unit with a really good price point.
As demand continues to grow for RM products and the market changes focus from stocking to faster deliveries; RM takes the initiative to increase warehouse capacity. By adding extra floor space RM is able to stock 3 times more product allowing for the first time for all mainline products to be stocked ready for immediate dispatch to its customer base.
RM introduces their Calorifier range of products to the market place. Once reserved for large scale manufacturing plants typically associated with high costs; units up to 600L can now be produced quickly and cost effectively for the market place. These fully custom units can be built to any specification to meet the needs of the application.
This was the year everything changed, the introduction of ErP meant major changes for the industry. RM have met these demands perfectly and have responded by improving our range even further to ensure customers continue to receive the quality and efficiency that they have come to expect from an RM Cylinder product. To celebrate the launch of ErP we built this website to further enhance our offering of technical and sales information for our customers.
